The meaning of Aomih translates to “my joy.” Aomih is a design firm that believes in the power of joy.
As designers, we wanted to curate a space to cultivate beautiful designs that did nothing less than bring joy and lasting memories. From Interiors and branding identity, to cover art for a new album and music festivals—we have to be a part of the joy within many different experiences in order to create something truly special.
Aomih (Ayomi); means “My joy”. Shortened from the name Ayomide, which means “My joy has come”
Derivatives of Aomih are typically used as a gender-neutral name in the Sinhala, Yoruba, and Japanese regions.

Aomih Design is a design firm that offers all-inclusive services for our clients. We pride ourselves on our level of design standards, which gives us the ability to create elevated brands that are sought after.
Our bespoke model allows us to work on a multitude of project types such as personal branding for professionals and new-age hotels or designing an earth-conscious Michelin star restaurant. Aomih is based in Seattle, WA in the United States. Our 100% virtual model allows us to work with clients globally.

For each project, we have a dedicated Client Portal.
Additionally, each presentation can be done via video chatting. Our platform of preference does not require any downloads and is as easy as a click of the link.
At the end of each phase, the Client will be provided with a video in their portal for the next steps and file use.
We are also always available via email during our business hours.

The health of our Designers is a top priority. With that, a typical 5day work week with 40+ hours is not sustainable for most creatives. As Designers, we gain our inspiration through experiences, travel, and rest. So, to create the very best versions for you, our work weeks are noted below.

At the moment, we work with freelance photographers, videographers, illustrators, website developers, and contractors. Please send us an email and we will send over our internal application form to ensure we are a good fit. During the process of each project, we have ample opportunities to provide feedback and review. Based on your contract, there is an allotted number of revisions to ensure the project remains on time. As long as each client is transparent and communicative with what they are looking for, we have made it easy to provide detailed feedback with each phase through our prompt booklets at the end of each presentation.

Aomih was founded in 2021, but the designers have been in the design industry well before then. SaSha Rachel, CIDQ—the Creative Director has been practicing Interior Architectural Design in the hospitality, food + beverage, and retail markets for nearly 10 years, graphic design for over 5 years, and website design [HTML, CSS, and JAVA] for 2 years.
With an expansive design history, we can guarantee that we have the qualifications for your scope of work.

We’re here to help you build your brand. To come prepared to work with Aomih, all you need is an idea and time to make it happen. We are happy to be your expanding visionistic partner that can make your brand memorable. We don’t do cookie-cutter, each project is special and we treat it that way.

We list our openings and availability on our socials and website, but these are not always updated. There is no definitive way to answer this question here at Aomih. We like to treat each project differently because each is unique and special in its own way. We work together to form its identity.
We begin each project- whether it is for Branding, Identity, Website or Interior Design project with the sole purpose of benefiting the target user. We start with a discovery and conceptualization. We then refine and build as needed with the Client’s feedback and direction. We are able to partner with businesses globally as we are prepared to seamlessly hand off each project through email and our Client Portal.

We work with you to determine the best way to approach your project.
Each project is unique and therefore requires a customized approach. We can help you define the requirements of your project and its timeline, as well as the supplemental offerings that will make it truly special. Each phase is not completely linear, and has the possibility to mold into one another. During the proposal stage, we will review the Client requirements to keep each project on time, the expected duration, and any other necessary information. No project is too “small” for Aomih. We do have parameters for a few of our offerings to ensure a well curated outcome.
Branding and Strategy packages can be on any scale. We work on personal Branding or corporate enterprises. Review our Offerings page, or check out the previous section of “Our Client Type.”
Website Design has a restriction that the Brand Identity must be done by Aomih. We do this because we know the assets necessary and want to create a seamless process from start to finish. This also allows us to refrain from bringing a third-party designer.
Environmental Graphics are subjected to each project. While we will design an amazing lobby feature wall equipped with wayfinding and local artists, we prefer to tackle projects that involve layers and systems that contribute to the immersive experiences.

A brand identity is the foundation of your company. It's what gives you credibility, helps you stand out from your competitors and bring the audience you want in.
Aomih can help you create a brand identity that will make your customers fall in love with you before they even know who you are. We suggest a brand refresh to work with Aomih to ensure all of the necessary assets are cohesive to your brand.
For website design, we require our clients to have a Brand Strategy and Identity to be done by Aomih.
If you are not looking to refresh with us, we offer bespoke website templates that are unique and well-curated in our template shop. Check out our template shop for social media templates and website templates. We also have a free guide for navigating your brand’s identity without a designer.

Yes! We enjoy visioncasting. This process is done with a discovery session, multiple charrettes, and an allotted number of presentations based on the scope. Naming is fun and should be well thought out as it is a primary attribute of the business’ identity.

While we do have a list of manufacturers we’ve worked with. We require the Client to source their vendors in regard to Branding, Packaging, and Print. Aomih is able to source vendors and manufacturers at an additional fee.
As a typical Interior Design project, Aomih with source and present finishes, equipment, appliances, and material for each project per scope requirements.

We work with Adobe XD to create supplemental graphics such as branded decks and social media templates. This program is currently free, and allows graphics to stay high quality in a vector format. We provide a baseline tutorial for each project as necessary for easy navigation on handoff.

Are the illustrations and artworks released to the Client at the date of handoff? Terms of use must be agreed upon prior to beginning a project.
Although Aomih’s work is made for hire, project specificity varies among clients and their needs. License and release will be discussed at every project and relayed in the contract.
What is an artwork release? An artwork release is an agreement between a creator and the client who now owns the specified art/design. The purpose of this document is to allow the use of the artwork/design in a project, while protecting the creator’s rights to their work. This includes how it will be used, and payment for its use. For instance, if we design a line of hoodies for a project, this artwork may not be in use for a future shoe line and more. The releasing of artwork is incredibly intricate and we are happy to discuss with you prior to beginning a project if it applies to your project’s scope.

Yes, we do, we primarily use Squarespace, WordPress, and Shopify.
We are also open to soles design sites and work with a developer of your choice to bring your site to fruition.

Squarespace is a fast-growing website platform that is equipped for most service-based businesses from small-scale to enterprises. Not only can it handle the ever-flowing traffic, but it also allows a seamless transition from developer to client. As a website designer and developer who primarily uses Squarespace as their sole platform, we have to ability to provide you with a 100% fully customized website using custom code and strategy. The list of benefits of using Squarespace as your Service- Based brand’s website platform is endless. We can integrate current systems, apply automation to free up time on your end, and build a fully custom site that allows your team to internally do simple updates and promotions.
At the time of hand-off, you will be provided a booklet for ease of updating internally, up to one month of support for your team from Aomih, and ongoing support from Squarespace. I look forward to discussing more with you, please don’t hesitate to ask any questions

We will be hiring a UX/UI Designer at the beginning of Q2 2023. We do not have one in-house currently but will contract with a Designer if the project finds it necessary.

Aomih is a small design team, but our clients are still able to enjoy the benefits of a large agency. Here we work hard to provide strategic thinking, purposeful design, and beautiful results for all of our clients. Whether big or small, when working with an agency, it is common for the team to be 1-2 people. When working with us, you get the big agency level of quality without the price point and fees. Each project is incredibly special to us, and will treat it as our own.

We begin with a website strategy. We are creating your digital storefront. With nearly 70% of website traffic coming from a mobile device, we make sure that we keep every detail in mind. Websites should be exciting, and an extension of an experience of your brand. We work with you on how we will make your site special, the necessities and requirements to ensure ease and the traffic is optimal.
Once strategy is approved, we move to the conceptualization and then mockups. This is where you start to see the site come to life. Once these phases are approved, we move on to building the site in the preferred platform. We work in stages, beginning with the landing page and presenting it to the project team. Once this level is approved, we begin completing the site and preparing for the site’s hand-off.
We provide explanations for updates and changes via video format and pdf. We also allow for a 20-day for semi-custom sites and 30-day grace period for every custom project for troubleshooting.
Interior Design

At Aomih, believe that interior design is not just about creating a functional space within a building but also about creating a space where people want to be. Our goal is to help you create a space that reflects your aesthetic and personality, while still being functional and comfortable. A design firm can offer both interior designing and interior decoration services, or specialize in one or the other. A design firm may have architects on staff who work alongside designers, or it may have project managers who manage multiple projects at once. Design firms often work closely with contractors who handle building construction and renovation projects; however, some firms also provide their own contracting services.
Aomih is a full-service interior design firm that specializes in hospitality and commercial projects.
We understand that the details matter. We're here to help you make your vision a reality.
We have the skillset and experience to develop detailed drawings for any project, and we work closely with engineers, contractors, or architects to make sure your interior design is both functional and beautiful.
Interior decorating is the "final touches" of a space. Think of items like furnishings, accessorizing, or adorning a space with accessories. Don't you worry, we offer this as well—it's just not in our primary offerings and must be attached to an interior design package.

Yes, SaSha Rachel received their CIDQ certificate in 2020. We have IDs and and State licenses for the State of WA.

We pride ourselves on our ability to provide a full range of services, including: Interior Design, Custom Furniture Design & Manufacturing, Furniture Furnishings and Equipment, Environmental Graphics Design, Interior Plant styling, working with an AOR, and more.

We won't push you toward any specific certification for your space or building, but there are often incentives to do so. We can expand on this further if you'd like more information; check out our sustainability page for more details!

No worries at all, though we design to specific guidelines and requirements. Certification is not always essential due to cost. A building Certification such as WELL Building Standard or Living Building Challenge will help you ignite press and attract clients, but it's not a requirement. This can be advantageous if your space is being designed for press releases and media mentions.

Yes, we hold an NCIDQ Certification in the state of Washington, and are able to provide stamped drawings on non-structural projects. We are also able to implement Interior drawings into a set per project scope and requirements.
We can provide drawings for permits, construction, fabrication, installations, and more for projects as well.

Yes, this would mean your project would need an Architect of Record “ROA”, Engineer of Record “EOR” and Aomih would be performing as a Design Architect “DA.”
We would work on the early concepts of the design and early documentation per the project’s scope requirements.
The ROA would then be the Architect to appear on the documentation such as permits and construction drawings. This process in incredibly intricate and we would enjoy speaking with you if this is a plan of interest.

Environmental Graphic Design

Environmental Graphic Design is a multidisciplinary field of design in which the disciplines of graphic design, architecture, art, lighting, landscape, and other fields are utilized as a way to enhance the human experience through visuals, textures, and enhancements in the built environment. Environmental Graphic Design helps users navigate spaces with ease and make them feel welcomed and immersed in the experience.
Environmental Graphic Design’s most common applications include wayfinding signage, diagrams, and lighting installations. Graphic installations in retail spaces such as shelving and graphics, or restaurants and bars menu boards lighting design and exterior signage. EGD is expansive and we are excited to offer it here at Aomih.

EGD is a powerful tool in the design arsenal of any designer. It can transform a space into something memorable and enhance the brand while being functional in navigation and information to the users. EGD can also be fun with customized compliant door handles, specialty lighting fixtures, and the perfect floor graphic for the instagrammable shoefie (shoe selfie).

Both, Aomih has their own arsenal of recommendations that we use internally, and are open to working with more. To ensure the project’s footprint is as low as possible, we prioritize quality fabricators that are within a 500mile radius of the project’s site.

We want to ensure Aomih’s level of design and quality meets your standards and fits within the project’s budget. We understand projects fluctuate and design to make sure concepts are not lost.

Print design is a physical piece of Artwork or visual communication conveying a design to an audience. Print design can be in the form of Branded decks, business cards, wallpaper/wallcovering, signage and more.

When you think of luxury brands like Chanel and Hermes, they don’t package their items in your typical cardboard box. They make it so that each time you go to use that item, it is like a gift you get to receive all over again.
So why not give the same experience to your customers? When you think about sustainability, we want to make sure that packaging does not just have a positive impact on the environment, but also on the customer. We would like to ask for important information on the insert's durability, longevity, and if it can be upcycled for another use. When that package is opened, are their layers and surprises in there that the customer wasn’t expecting? Is the texture of the packaging special? Is there a satisfying click when it closes? Each experience is different and should cater to the project’s target audiences' satisfaction.

At Aomih, we don't have Industrial Designers on staff to bring on custom product design projects. This is because we believe that it's important to have an Industrial Designer involved in the process from the beginning to ensure that the ergonomics and functionality of a custom product are sound. We can work closely with your Industrial designer on the print and packaging project to make sure everything is working as it should for the end user, but Custom products are out of our scope. These are items like a custom perfume bottle, shoes, a customized box to hold a product or a specialty spirits bottle.
Some projects may require already designed products that are already existing and need to be designed to the brand’s standards. Think of this as a can or bottle that needs printing or packaging on it—these would require a dieline that is sourced from the manufacturer. This process is scoped in our print and packaging packages.

Yes, this is possible, but Aomih will not be there to guide you through the process. There are companies that are great for smaller businesses to do this process on their own. Just be transparent with us from the beginning to ensure that we have all of the supplemental graphics accounted for in the project’s package.

As a design firm, we do not offer refunds on projects. Instead, we work very closely with our clients from start to finish to ensure that the end-user is happy with the final product. As we progress through the project, it is the Client’s due diligence to be transparent and to come prepared with feedback. We do have refinement stages that will be scoped out in each contract, but feedback is welcome at any time.
Our process is designed with target needs in mind, as well as those of the client. We believe this helps us create the best possible outcome for everyone involved—and it means that you don't have to worry about being left out of the loop or feeling like your interests aren't being taken into account.
At the time of phase completion post-presentation, we'll provide prompts and open dialog during each phase of the project so that you can give feedback at every step along the way. We also make sure that payment is provided at the beginning of each phase so that we can move smoothly through each stage without any hiccups!

We highly suggest hiring a marketing consultant and a SEO strategist to optimize the reach of your target audience. With these in addition to the strategy offered by Aomih, your project will be moving in the right direction.

Aomih offers a number of packages for design firms. Each package is different, and we work with you to further define the project's identity through media by establishing the brand's voice and reach. While Aomih doesn’t offer ongoing content creation and social media management, we do curate a strategy and visual templates that make it easier for your marketing team to further the cohesive look and feel across each platform.

Because Aomih is a full-service design firm, we have many different sectors for requirements for products being used on our project.
Print + Packaging
All paper goods must be at minimum FSC Certified, recyclable and PFA, BPA and chlorine free. No vinyl package, there are quite a few eco-alternatives for items such as poly mailers, pack-ins, inserts, and boxes. Why do we set these parameters? It is because it is the right thing to do. Once we put our purchases into more eco-friendly packaging and materials, other companies will follow suit and begin their conversions.
There are many other objectives that we will be implementing in the future, this is just our baseline requirement for the time being.
Building Materials
When it comes to interior finishes and building materials, functionality and durability are the most important. Not only do we practice timeless design principles, but our materials are selected to show the test of time.
Some projects know that they will never renovate unless it's necessary, and others know that their designs and spaces will fluctuate with trends, time and occasional updates. This is where Aomih steps in with a well-curated questionnaire and deep-dive into the project's life span in assessing the life cycle of products that should be used.
